New Brunswick

On Friday, Chris and I drove about 6.5 hours through New Hampshire and Maine to New Brunswick. We celebrated our third anniversary early (August 1) by spending the weekend in the small town of St. John, which is situated on the Bay of Fundy. Chris booked rooms at a beautiful Bed and Breakfast that allowed dogs, so we didn't need to kennel Greta. Unfortunately, the weekend was very foggy and a bit rainy, so we couldn't take many pictures of the water or the tides. We did walk along the water with Greta for a while. Chris and I also popped into the touristy shops and spent some time at the City Market where vendors offer ethnic food and wares. In the evening, the town festival hosted a local comic, so we listened to his show for a while. On the drive home Sunday, we stopped at St. Andrew, which is near the U.S. border and ate salmon at a local cafe. Chris also gorged on wood-smoked salmon that he bought at a road-side stand. I think he's inspired to learn how to smoke fish now.
