Emerson Commencement

Commencement ceremonies at Emerson College only occur once a year, so even though I technically graduated last December, the ceremony didn't happen until yesterday. Not that it really matters because I didn't go, but Chris and I did celebrate with Johnny and Alicia and their parents at Dante's Restaurant in Cambridge afterwards. Dinner was amazing. Johnny previously served at Dante's so the staff and chefs treated us incredibly well with lots of "extras," in addition to our three course meals.

After work last Friday, Chris and I drove to Philadelphia for the weekend. We ended up hitting heavy traffic through Hartford, New Haven and NYC, but the drive wasn't too bad. We also took a quick detour through the Bronx for a slice of pizza.
Saturday, we walked around Old Town, stopping to see Christ Church, Independence Hall, the Liberty Bell and the Constitution Center. Chris, of course, had the requisite Philly Cheese Steak sandwich for lunch. The trip was fun, overall. I think we were expecting more historical sites, but then again, we didn't take the time to go through the Betsy Ross house or a couple of the other churches.

Anticipation of Summer

Chris is finished with school for the semester! Yay! Let summer begin!

Chris and I went sailing on the Charles River last weekend. Chris took a couple classes last summer at the Community Boat Club and is going to take his helmsman test soon, after which he can take out larger boats. I'd also like to learn how to set up the boat and sail it by myself, but hopefully Chris can pass along what he knows to me without classes involved.
