Since July

I'm having trouble finding time to blog. I need to figure out how to make time for this now that I don't have as many nights and weekends alone while Chris is at school or studying.

Nothing too eventful has happened in the last few weeks. We've been spending most of our days enjoying the summer weather and spending lots of time with family and friends. I took a trip back out to Boston for work and drove past our old house on Alma Ave. Neither floor's new tenants are keeping up the exterior - I was a little sad to see the overgrown hedges and weedy flower beds.

Here's a quick summary of what we've been doing:

- We celebrated Lilly's birthday with a party at her house - lots of water balloons and cake
- We celebrated Allison's birthday at a Gaelic Storm concert at the MN Zoo (none of my pictures turned out, unfortunately).
- Katie and her boyfriend, Matt, drove up from Indiana for a long weekend, which was a lot of fun.
- Varsana and Malia spent a night with us before school started. We tubed the creek, played some basketball, and Chris and I were educated on the current trends for teenagers. Our friends, Ryan and Katie, flew in from Kansas City over Labor Day weekend. Chris and I have been friends with Ryan since we all went to medic school nine years ago.
We've also spent time with numerous other friends, which is so great after years of infrequent visits. In addition, Chris and I have been loving the proximity to Lake Harriet, Lake Calhoun and the Minneapolis trails. A few weeks ago, we biked to Minnehaha Falls, grabbed some lunch at Sea Salt restaurant, and hiked along the Minnehaha River to the mouth Mississippi.
I started my fall course in Statistics. After this class, I'll be half-way through the program, but at least I'll have some of the harder classes behind me.
