Dining Room Table

We have an incredible, new dining room table in our house. A few years ago, Chris' parents took down a hackberry tree on their property in Indiana, and they had the wood milled and then planed it and eventually built a beautiful picnic table out of it. As a result, Chris had been talking to his dad about building a dining room table together before we even moved to Minnesota, but it ended up that Chris' dad built the tabletop himself out of most of the remaining hackberry planks. It is an incredible gift. The wood grain is very pronounced and like nothing I had seen prior. Chris and I worked with a metal fabricator to design metal legs/bases for the tabletop, with the goal for it to appear both rustic and modern at the same time.
