Fiona - 16 Months

It's been a few months since I've posted a Fiona update. We've been back from Paris for two months now, and Fiona has settled into a routine at daycare. She loves the women who work in the young toddler room, and we've noticed her fine motor skills have been improving since we've been back. She walks, runs, walks backwards, spins, jumps and climbs. She often has a mischievous glint in her eye, although she always wants to be near Chris or me and is very "huggy." Her favorite foods are black beans, cheese and pasta. We're trying to get her to eat more fruits and vegetables, and the best bets are bananas, apples and peas. She's saying a few more words: "mama," "dada," "ra-ra" (Greta), "ba-ba" (sippy cup) and "cheese." She also has her own words for hat, jacket, shoes and several other things. She's also starting to repeat words more often and definitely understands word association for the familiar items around her. She likes to play with wooden puzzles, balls, stacking rings/blocks, her tea set, purse and duplos to some extent. And Fiona loves to be read books. We go through a bedtime ritual every night in which Chris or I pick out a book to read, she pushes it aside and then picks out her own books.

Here are a few pictures from playtime at the park and the community center with her cousins and Papa Mike a few weeks ago.
