Summer & Maternity Leave

I had a beautiful summer with Eloise. Fiona also stayed home with me a day or two each week. Here's a recap of our summer:

Eloise did a lot of growing...

...and started smiling and became interested in toys.

We spent lots of time with family,

and ate at fun restaurants (including Tin Fish at Lake Calhoun and Quang's).

Fiona kept herself occupied with stickers at Butcher and the Boar.

We got together with good friends.

Some days, Fiona begged me to let her skip school and go to Target instead. So that's what we did.

We gave Greta a lot of unwanted attention.

We read a lot of books...

...and occasionally overdressed.

We spent a lot of time together,

and somebody figured out how to crawl out of her crib.

We spent a lot of time at the park, splash pads and the YMCA pool,

and Chris also canoed and tubed the creek several times with friends and family.

We are thankful for a wonderful summer. Today is my last day of maternity leave, and I am sad to lose my cuddly baby during the day. However, I am thankful for a wonderful job and the having friends and family close by to visit and help us.

Looks like the best summer ever. :) I love the picture of Fiona and your mom.
